March 13th and 14th celebrate running and cycling with 2 very popular events, Way Too Cool and the Cool Mountain Bike Race. Accordingly, expect crowds at the Olmstead Loop. For a change of scenery, you may want to check out the other side of the river, at the Foresthill Sled Dog Races. This 2-day event is a qualifier for the world renowned Iditarod in Alaska.

Stage One of the Amgen Tour de California is coming through Auburn and Cool. Look out for the likes of Lance Armstrong and other pro cyclists during the start of the event scheduled May 16th through May 23rd. We’ll be famous!
